Catching up on some reading I came across this line; The Civil Aviation Authority is spending about $50,000 a year on office greenery

It is not exactly a large amount, but it is still money wasted by CASA; it's $50,000 a year spent on indoor plants! Thats a large number of plants a year, entertaining the though that some of these plants last more than a single year I have to wonder how much of a jungle their offices must have become.
Has anyone else come across other 'fun' uses of taxpayer money by our beloved regulator? (Backed up by a reference or quote where possible)
