I have to give a flight safety presentation regarding propellers and am trying to track down data. Does anyone have a link to an appropriate research area?

Sorry can't help with the data but I do have a personal near accident involving propellors.

I had several hundred hours instructing on C152s. About to depart from the apron with student. At the same time the CFI was taxiing in to park opposite us. I needed to speak to him. I told my student to wait a few minutes while I got out and went to speak to the CFI. I got out and walked straight forward apart from having to deviate round the strut. Had the strut not been there I am convinced I would have walked into the propellor.

I was suitably shaken. Combination of pre-occupation, familiarity with the noise and being in a hurry. I still find it hard to believe that I did it but I did. Thank God it was an aeroplane with struts.
