From memory of Flights Global Airline Census, eagerly perused in the 1950's in Wallington Public Library, reputedly had the worlds shortest scheduled airline route, all of 25 miles, between mainland and Rotnest Island. Flew 2 Avro Anson's and run by 2 retired air force officers.

Rottnest Airlines was owned by Havsin Pty Ltd (hence the registration of VH-HPL). Havsin also owned Perth-based airline Execair.

Rottnest Airlines later renamed as Rottnest Airbus.
