Just saw this on my twitter feed. "@nswincdents A light plane has crashed at Bankstown airport. FRNSW are on scene" Anyone has more details?

Well there is something going on, Bankstown ATIS says runway 11L not available due to disabled aircraft. We will be heading out there soon to head off on our easter trip so I guess we will soon find out what happened.

Didn't it end up on its lid in 2011 and once or twice before that after it banged into Cherokee or something in the late 80's.

That article is from 2011. 2nd hand info i have is that it was a twin com wheels up, all ok on board

Nah, I was much further south. Next time I come by I will drop into yours though. The last time was about April 2004 when the Qantas Chartered Dash 8 dropped in for the filming of a movie nearby.
