What is the 'control cabin' that the left temperature selector refers to on the 737-400/800 air conditioning panel?

We call it the 'cockpit', the c/crew and management the 'flight deck'.

I've never heard the term 'Control Cabin' before. Where did that come from?

It's from Latin contrarotulus for dominate/direct and the capanna for little room.
Randy: Excuse me sir, there's been a little problem in the cockpit…
Striker: The cockpit…what is it?
Randy: It's the little room in the front of the plane where the pilots sit, but that's not important right now.

Actually, it is very good question for collectors of aviation trivia; why every Boeing except 737 has it properly labeled as "Flight deck"?
