Over 50 years old and now de-classified
The chap who posted this film has umpteen military films (http://www.youtube.com/user/QuarX?feature=g-high-u), mostly from WW2, but some I am sure were screened by the Astra as fillers when the main feature film was a bit short.

Minor quibble but you might want to change the title - the very first F-4 didn't fly until May (?) 1958 and in FWIW the film itself does say '63 in it's credits/title....

That said interesting film, thanks for posting the link.

WSO seemed a bit casual with the straps - probably a nice dent from the buckle!

Astonishing. I genuinely had no idea the F-4 first flew in '58. Just 13 years after the end of World War II.Goes to show what phenomenal advances there were in the post-war years in terms of technology. That must have been an incredible time to have witnessed. BEagle?

Glad I went mud-moving in the GR1, I didn't see anything recognisable on that screen. Took me back to the Dominie, where I spent days seeing bugger all!

'No Sweat' is worth a watch as well.

It's OK, I think that was the flag from the canopy strut lock. Although the Phantom, remember, was built from real metal, created in ancient stars. Not an airfix kit.

Anyone have a link to "Unload for Control"- the F4 film we were required to watch at specified intervals- (every 6 mos???)?
