Anyone use the Telex Ascend (http://www.telex.com/us/aviation/product/Ascend/1051?fam[]=52) in a 744 or other loud cockpit? Looking for a good light headset solution that has the boom mic on the right ear. The Sennheiser HMEC 46 (http://www.sennheiser-aviation.com/commercial-corporate-aviation_active-noise-reduction_502180) and HMEC 26 (http://www.sennheiser-aviation.com/commercial-corporate-aviation_active-noise-reduction_502399) looks like good options too. I like the Clarity Aloft design but the mic is only on the left ear.

I haven't checked, but don't most headsets' boom mics swivel both ways? - so put the headset on with the mic on the side you want and just swivel the mic over to be in front.

Not the Clarity Aloft, and a slew of others now that do not adjust.

The Telex Ascend is great. A little finnicky to get it seated right on your head but super comfortable and clear. Great for deadheads as well. The only problem is that the on/off switch is useless and you need to remove the battery whenever you aren't using it or it goes dead. Not a problem for the Airbus plugs as it's powered from the aircraft.

Don't bother with the HMEC, brutally uncomfortable. Starts torturing your ears in less than 5 minutes.

OK, Falcon fair comment - I didn't know. Weird though.
