Can someone update me on the status of the Helineo 2-seater project? Is it still alive?

It's not quite dead, but very nearly. The parent engineering company Serolor has stopped funding it and boss Thierry André laid off the full-time staff. Three engineers work on it part time, and the Swiss engine company Mistral did deliver a rotary for them to play with, but it was only a G190 model and not the expected/newer G200 model they really want.

The potential certified model is the HAD-1R.

The planned kit version is the HAD-1T

I did point out to them two years ago that "HAD-1T" may not be good marketing, and so it seems to be proving.....

The bottom of the tail fin (and tail rotor) look awfully close to the level of the skids, and are prime candidates for damage on any tail-low landing, or on uneven ground.

Agree with the comment on the designation, needs a change! GOT-1T? WANT-1T? BIGT-1T?
