Hi guys
i encountered a fuel leak coming from the FMM drain of our PT6C-67C installed on our AW139.In the engine maintenance manual there is no place where does it mention the correct action to be taken.
Does anyone encountered like this problem before?

Thank u all

I assume you are talking about the drive pad drain point.
If so this is not uncommon. The ITEM does now give a leak rate for this fuel pump seal, (previously omitted from previous revisions I believe) 3cc and hour from memory. If not check with your local Pratt rep, I have found them to be very helpful unfortunatly the same can not always be said for the Italians !:ugh:

Fuel leaking from here does not seem as seriouse as the same thing on a twin pack pump, different pump and bearing setup.

Hope this helps.

P.S. I believe Pratt are now aware of an instance of this pump seizing and shearing the drive spline on a 67 series engine. Might be worth checking!

Yes i'm talking about the drive pad point drain.
The leak is exceeding 3cc/hr.i think it's from the carbon seal inside the fuel pump.
But my question is if we can replace this seal or we should replace the FMM.
Best regards

No carbon seal is replaced at Pratt repair facility. FMM replacement has always been the course of action we were given by Pratt. You might be right for warranty depending on engine age. First run 5 years and you should be right.
You will need to check the leak rate as I don't have the ITEM on me.

Have fun!
