Hi everybody!

I'm going on my first type rating ever, about to fly Jet for the first time also. I have managed to get in to a small Business Jet company in Sweden and they are sending me either to FlightSafety in Farnborough or Simuflite in Dallas in about 1-2 months. I'm on a waiting list for dropoffs at these two courses since everything happened very fast, thats why I dont know where and when yet.

Anyway, does anybody have the memory items and/or emergency check lists and want to email them to me I would appreciate it a lot!

If someone have some tips and tricks for how I can prepare myself as much and good as possible as a low timer before going I'd like that too...

thanks in advance!

Hi and congratulations!

Anyway, does anybody have the memory items and/or emergency check lists and want to email them to me I would appreciate it a lot!

The problem is: As I have been to both training sites mentioned by you, I also have study material from both. It is just so slightly different that you risk creating some confusion if you memorise the "wrong" stuff.

I would suggest that you wait until you know where you are going. Usually you will get some "pre course" study material by email as soon as you have booked your course including the checklists. Initial courses are well structured and will teach you the various topics in the correct order.

Enjoy your course, doing typeratings is the best part of this flying business :)

Hi Max!

Thank you for your quick reply on my post!
Do you or anyone else know if there is a lot memory items in the Bravo?

I assume since their goal is to make you learn everything they help you through the rating as good as they can, but I'm still concerned about it being just 5-6 days theory at both Flightsafety and Simyflite.... isn't that quite short amount of time?

is there any idea downloading the Bravo repaint to the microsoft flight simulator before or is that just bull?

If you are in Stockholm, then I could drop you a Bravo PTM pdf at Grafair on Monday... would need no know it today though.

The memory items are managable, donīt sweat.

Do you or anyone else know if there is a lot memory items in the Bravo? 15 in total. When I was in Dallas I bought some blank paper cards the size of playing cards and wrote the memory items onto them. I have been carrying those cards with me since five years for an occasional 'refresher on the go'.

Here they are in random order (CAE memory items from 5 years ago - there may be little differences now) - Please note that these are my personal cards and may contain mistakes, omissions and differences to the current training syllabus. Do not sue me if anything goes wrong ;):

If you try doing a google search you will find quite a lot of useful info about the type online, including a breakdown of all the 500 series Citations, and their history. Also the training courses (you may have to pay for some of them).
