Hi team,

have been casually flicking through back issues of the Australian Govt Gazette, as one does when one is a Leafblower, and I have come across this company in a number of entries.

Things appear to have gone bad for them in about 2003-2004 and a number of aircraft including Chieftains FIA, NMP and ONC were reposessed and then sold off.

It is part morbid curiosity but I was out of the industry at the time ...who were they?

Name: RASTUS AIRCRAFT PTY. LTD.
ACN: 100 917 182
ABN: 80 100 917 182
Registration date: 14/06/2002
Status: Deregistered
Date deregistered: 6/02/2007
Type: Australian Proprietary Company, Limited By Shares

7/11/2006: Presentation of Accounts & Statement Presentation of Final Accounts of Creditors' Voluntary Winding Up (524K).

Seems to be a very short lived company that operated Chieftains until wound up by creditors?

Thanks mate, I can search ASIC too ;) :8

They operated a couple of Barons and a C421 as well.

Well, if you searched Google you would also have the name of the principal and a business address, not appropriate posted to PPRuNe. The information is scant but with the ASIC listing one can put a picture together.

Those of us 'of a certain age' may remember the 'Rastus and Mary Lou' jokes.

Mary Lou: 'Rastus, if'n you stand too close to de edge of dat platform, dat train's gonna...'

No, stop it. I don't think I could keep a straight face if someone told me they worked for 'Rastus'.
