Hi all
I remember my dad many years ago piloting a BN2 for a private company and occasionally going with him when he use to take me := on short hops (great aircraft but noisy) Anyhow I remember a short while ago he talked about BN were looking onto building a upgraded version BN-2A Mk III-5 improved engines, sound proofing and modernised cockpit/interior. Anyone have any info on this

Still building them, check the BN web site for the latest Islander/Defender variants.

BN were looking onto building a upgraded version BN-2A Mk III-5 improved enginesThe likelihood of the Trislander (aka BN-2A Mk III) ever being resurrected is extremely remote.

rob39,

I think your Dad may have been talking about the flight test report which SolentFlyer posted in this thread: http://www.pprune.org/tech-log/436319-britten-norman-islander.html

It was originally published in Flight...
