Hi all,
The NZCAA website has listed that I need to sit the law exam to change my FAA ATP To a NZ ATPL. how does one go about this. Is it available on line. I am currently living in the USA but have NZ citizenship and talked to ANZ today regarding flying for one of the regionals. The recruiter also mentioned a BGT test as well but it was not listed on the CAA website. Any help would be appreciated.

All the information you need is on the caa website:

All NZ theory exams are conducted by ASL. Aviation Services Ltd (http://www.aviation.co.nz)

All their exams are now CBT, and must be done at one their locations available from their exam timetable/locations. It can't be done remotely, online.

You can do LAW and BGT with them.

They're both a piece of piss to get through, 2-weeks part time study at the most for both.

Cheers

If you already have a rating on something turbine and can get it recognised on your NZ licence, I don't think you'll need to do the BGT.

AFAIK its only required as part of any pilots first turbine rating.

Worth asking anyway.
