Spotted on Mallorca on Wikimapia - Let's describe the whole world! (http://www.wikimapia.org) - not at all far from where I live. Unfortunately it's too far from the public road so I bow my head to those more expert than myself.

A Harrier? The image is a bit clearer on Bing maps (aerial view)

An ex Spanish Air Force F-86 perhaps?

Do you know, VISCOUNT58, I think you're right. It is more clear on Bing and I think that it can't be a Sabre because a Sabre's wings are on the bottom - I'm a wonder for technical talk! The planform proportions and the distinctive wing shape look extremely Harrier-like. Perhaps if it's a Harrier then we know how it got there... Apparently there are several classic vehicles there too - probably in the big shed. There may be some scattered around nearby too and some of those have a military look to them, I venture. I have heard that the owner is British but even that may not be reliable. Interesting, no? Somebody on PPRuNe must know more!

Defo a Harrier, guys. Short-ish fuselage, long chord at wing root, distinctive tailplanes.

It's much clearer on Google Earth if you go back to the 5/6/2010 imagery.

A Harrier, no doubts.

It seems obvious that the thing to do is to nip down the road and ring his doorbell..... I can't do it for a few days but we'll see.

Well, Geezers of Nazareth and any others who may be interested, I went round to the house this morning. Very smart and huge solid (i.e. not see-through) double gates on each of two entrances with video surveillance. I parked my car and was just about to ring the bell when the gates started to open.... There was no-one there apart from a 4x4 marked "Security", followed by the name of the house. Not someone to mess with, I'd suggest.

Then I saw a Mercedes coming down towards me and it was the owner with others and his chauffeur. I'd bet he was wondering who was this scruff who was hanging around his gate! Anyway, he stopped and talked to me. Seemed to be a very courteous Spanish gentleman. He told me that it was indeed his Harrier and, taking my name and 'phone number, he said he'd call me to arrange a visit. That's what comes from having an honest face! Mind you, he did joke (I think it was a joke, any way) about not being too sure about inviting a Scotsman in!

I'll let you know......

Well done Cameronian ... you're progressing nicely up my 'Xmas Card' list. Providing suitable photos will allow you to leap-frog the person ahead of you who is currently providing me with pictures of ladies in bikinis(!) and other funny emails.

Well done for having an honest face, but you could have worn a collar and tie!

Do you think the fact that it bears the label "Calvia Harrier" might have been a clue?
Edited for stroppy keyboard missing out some letters. :*

I suspect the label has been recently added .. I don't recall it being there when the thread began.

Well, DX Wombat, it was I who named it so in Wikimapia - just for your benefit, of course!

Cameronian! :D :D :D
I had been about to reply to Twitcher's post along similar lines to his/hers.
Not too far away from me is a farm where there was a Harrier parked for a while. Fleabay refused to allow it to be sold. The farm owner has a great interest in restoring and selling decommissioned aircraft.

Saw this at LGW yesterday morning, parked at the World Cargo Centre. Photo was taken from the bridge, looking west, with a phone, hence the poor quality.
The rear fin had what looked like gold red and green on the trailing edge, and someone who was with me thought it was VC10 and swears it had 4 engines. He claims his eyes are better than mine! I thought it was DC9 as there are no VC10's flying (sadly!).

Just curious! Thanks.

Capetonian, it's MD82 I-DAVJ, ex Italjet.

Edit: When we taxied past it last week, it had no engines.
