Hello everybody,

I'm looking for a Mil Mi8 for a civilan job, in Marocco.

Hi altitude (12.000 to 15.000. Ft HOGE) experiment for airspace sensors.

Can anyone help me on this?

Thank you

Hi Sergio, can't help on where you could find one. But can only comment on the hover limitation for the Mi-8/17 being 3980m as from the RFM with normal takeoff weight (11.100kg), ISA, Dust protection OFF.

Cheers.

A lot will depend on the engines.

Try googling 'Aces High'.

I don't know the Mil Mi8 performance, but the test the helicopter
will have to do, at that altitude 12000-15000ft, will be with almost no load.
Only four people on board and about 400kg of equipment, with 90 min of fuel.

Thank you again
Cheers

15.000 ft possible, speed limited around 110 km/h if I remind numbers right.
APU must be replaced in case of significant energy demand, with suitable one.
AI-9 can not wok during the flight, any way, replacement can and work up
to 6000 m

High altitude 12,000 'to 15,000' that's hardly high altitude, :ugh: try over 23,000' now that's seriously high altitude :ok:

Why would You want to HOGE there out in space? :uhoh:

Yeah!, you right 12000-15000ft is Not a REALLY high Alt .

But consider that you have to stay in still in HOGE (or very little speed) for about 20 minutes at the time.

They have to drop a special device with a long rope (like a hoist ops.) with a special winch, that's why a Mil Mi8, because has a nice Hole opening inside the fuselage.

They have to do that in Marocco cause' the terrain looks like Mars.

But it seems difficult to find a civilian Mil closeby, a of lot of those in Russia, CZ, Bulgaria but not Marocco.
