I have got back into flying after way too long. I don't do enough hours to justify buying my own plane (& can't afford it anyway) so I am hoping to get into a syndicate with a decent single engine 6 seat retractable. I have poked around a bit, and I can't find anything. Seems to be a few groups available at AF for 4 seaters, but the 6 seats seem to be a bit elusive.
Anyone know of anything available? or alternatively are there other pilots out there also looking for the same thing?
Hiring from the flying schools is ok, but the planes I have hired have all seemed a bit tired - and they don't like waiting around past 5 PM. The other thing is that they are flown by people who don't have a long term view on operating the thing - better off having a plane that is flown by pilots who have to dip into their own pocket if they bugger something up.
