Hi does landing on a smaller runway like BHD affect the braking systems of an a319/a320, over time? I have had a number of hairy heavy braked landings at that particular aiport over the years... thanks :)

All aircraft experience brake wear. The more the brakes are used, the more rapid the wear, and the shorter the interval between brake replacements.

No different from the way some people drive their cars. :)

DaveR...

Not all aircraft are like car brakes. Carbon brakes are more effective when hot, so most brake wear occurs during the taxi period before take off than on the landing run. This can be as high as 80% during taxi.

Also modern aircraft use auto brakes and thrust reverse which is not fitted to many cars.

Even on a long runway quite high braking forces may be used depending on the runway exit point is located.
