Hi Guys,

This is what they published in the ATIS :-

RWY 27R COV WITH WET SN
RWY 27R FCT MEASURED WITH IMAG ON EACH RWY AT :0 56 :0 53 :0 40
CHEMICAL TREATMENT ON RWY.

So I guess it's Imaging after all.

Anyone has any ideas on the technology behind this ?

Cheers

Check this PDF http://www.stac.aviation-civile.gouv.fr/publications/documents/imaggb2004.pdf maybe img is a French abbreviation for imag ... Anyone able to chech the French AIP for a country specific abbreviation "img " ??? :ok:
And according to this : Weather (SNOWTAM) (http://www.hilmerby.com/fom/proc_snowt.html) for all Types of measuring equipment a 3letter code format is used
