I am sure this is not the right page for this so moderators please feel free to move as you see fit.

I had just landed today at EGTK when I noticed 5 aircraft flying in close formation moving from the north east to south west. Upon closer inspection I could see that the main aircraft appeared to be of B747 size and was flanked by 4 fast jets, 2 up front and 2 behind. I wonder if anybody else saw this or has an idea of what it was?

The info of a mates mate on FB-
4 Grippons and a DC10 going stateside for Red Flag.

They were on there way across on Friday, 2 flights of 4 with 2 KC10's and 2 KC135's, one of the chicks snagged the refuelling probe in the KC10 boom and snapped it off, all diverted to Mildenhall, broken Grippen changed over yesterday afternoon, and they headed out to "Vegas" today

every body writing at the same time LOL

When you next speak to your "mates mate" he might like to know the fighters are GRIPEN and the tanker will be a KC-10. The DC10 is an airliner.
