Hello

Au BFR is current, NZ isnt.
Can I legally fly in NZ private on the Au? or do I need to get the NZ BFR done.
Dont really want to waste the coin, same as letting my Class 1 medical in NZ go due CAA $$$.
Thanks guys.

norwester33,
Ask NZ CAA, and get the answer in writing, if you have licenses in both countries. In my opinion it is not quite black and white re. the provisions of the TTMRA aviation arrangements.
I strongly suggest you do not rely on any "definitive" answers on this thread.

As far as I know you will need to get a BFR for your NZ PPL. TTMRA arrangements do not apply to PPL holders. Even if it did, you would still need a BFR.

ben_093 is right

As far as I remember in NZ for your Aus licence to be used you would have to do a BFR anyway along with recognition of a foreign licence. You might as well renew your NZ licence. Hopefully your nz class 2 medical is still current?

Still known as a BFR in NZ if that's what you were referring to
