Do your research, they are up and running and quite often operate on the LHR route. They also have a brilliant TV ad running in the UK right now.

Then maybe your question should have been do people think TK will buy the A380. I have no inside knowledge but would say given TK's performance to date it is quite possible.

THY prioritises widebody twins ahead of A380/747-8I decision (http://www.flightglobal.com/news/articles/thy-prioritises-widebody-twins-ahead-of-a380747-8i-decision-377075/)

Well to be honest they have stated that they are interested in both the A380 AND the 747-8I, but they have not yet decided and they main priority is ordering more 777s/A330s/737s (and their sucessors) before hand

Then there is the fact that IST is rather crowded right now and to make space for bigger aicraft, they need to wait until the new airport is built...

you think Turkish Airlines will buy A380's ???

I find it highly probable that they will.

More recent press suggests the signs are pointing towards the fact they will:

France, Turkey plan major Airbus order (http://thepeninsulaqatar.com/international/221877-france-turkey-plan-major-airbus-order.html)

Tuesday, 15 January 2013
PARIS: France and Turkey will discuss a possible order for almost 150 Airbus passenger jets during a visit by French Trade Minister Nicole Bricq to Istanbul this week, the ministry said yesterday, another sign of thawing in commercial relations between the two countries.
A ministry statement said that ongoing talks between Turkish Airlines and Airbus, the European aircraft manufacturer, “centre on the acquisition of almost 150 aircraft, notably the A380 super jumbo jet.”
Airbus declined to comment on the statement, while Turkish Airlines did not reply immediately.
Bricq is to fly early today to Istanbul, and is scheduled to meet Temel Kotil, the head of Turkish Airlines, tomorrow, a ministry spokesman said.
Her visit comes as trade relations improve following a freeze early in 2011 after the French parliament approved a law to punish those who denied an Armenian genocide by Ottoman forces in 1915. Turkey fiercely denies that such a genocide took place, and the law was overturned in March by France’s Constitutional Council.
