Here you are, crab@: get in quick for some spare parts ;)

Navy to sell decommissioned Sea King helicopters for scrap (http://www.abc.net.au/news/2013-01-04/navy-to-sell-decommissioned-sea-kings/4452416)

The Navy has confirmed it is selling its decommissioned fleet of Sea King helicopters for scrap metal.

Five Sea King helicopters have been stored at their former home base of HMAS Albatross in Nowra, south of Sydney, while the Department of Defence decides what to do with them.

They were officially retired in December 2011.

Now it has been confirmed the five choppers, seven engines and spare parts will be sold after 35 years of operations.

One of the Sea King helicopters, the Shark 07, will remain at HMAS Albatross in the base's Fleet Air Arm Museum.

The helicopters have flown more than 60,000 hours in operations in Australia and overseas.

Would these airframes not be possible candidates for re-builds as S-61Ts?

If they were built by Sikorsky and not Westland

Unlikely as these were I believe Westland built and therefore not the same animal.
Different engines as well, Gnome instead of CT58.

Actually, they can all be stripped down and rebuilt as Phantoms if anyone wants to put enough money into the appropriate certification.
All it takes is imagination, a lot of detailed drawings, a capable and willing workforce and loads and loads and loads and loads of money.
