Anybody signed up to these guys and if so how has it gone. I have a couple of mates at the moment looking to improve chances of getting a job and these have been mentioned. Looking at their website they seem to offer mentoring and some sort of airline prep course, any info on content and standard would be appreciated.

Hey,I have signed up to them about 8 months ago, after paying the fee(around £100) I didn't hear from them for two weeks even tho I was supposed to be contacted by my 'Mentor'. So, after subscribing I had access to the full site,I've searched the forums and found out that the last post was sent months and months before, like there was no activity for a while. I emailed them twice, first time asking who my mentor was, second email was more of a complaint tone. Finaly he got in touch, saying my email was wrong (it was not),reason he couldn't get in touch with me (so it was my fault.. :hmm: ). He requested my CV so we could work together on it and I've sent him a copy.
Another two weeks and he gave me some topics to work on to improve it and I never heard from him since.
My missus is cabin crew for BA and I've asked her if she knew him or recognise any of the other names, she searched the intranet and turns out they are BA first Officers, like the other guys who started the company, they are OAA grads who now fly for BA,and EZY.
Don't bother, save your cash as they are a scam!

After digging around the website, I'm struggling to see what benefits you actually get for the money. The forum section does indeed look rather spartan, like not a lot of activity has happened recently.

It might be my imagination but wasn't "FL500" originally affiliated with cabair, somehow?

Maybe one of the owners of the site can post to explain. If not, silence speaks volumes.

Yes they were. They seemed to migrate to AFT Coventry along with some ex Cabair students early this year. Students now left AFT and hear FL500 seem to have dis-connected from AFT as well.

There may well be better ways of spending money

No idea mate, but there's no benefit whatsoever, some tips to improve your CV certainly aren't worth £100.There was no coaching or any sort of guidance, you'll see that your emails will start to bounce back and phone calls go unanswered, that's when you realise you have been conned.I was so naive to believe that there are people in aviation who have gone through the same struggles, that would be willing to help....Gosh I was so wrong :\

Might be worth a call to trading standards, and possibly trying to recover funds
paid using the VISA scheme for failure to provide services (assuming that's how you paid).

The concept of FL500 sounds good. I'm sure it was set up with the best of intentions of full filing as promised, but their work schedule and private life probably doesn't give them the time of the day!

Then they shouldn't do it. If you don't provide the service then you are operating a scam. Definitely worth a call to trading standards.

Absolutely. Couldn't agree more

A quick search of Companies House gives all the details of the individuals involved, maybe look them up and get in touch on a one-to-one level first, try and find resolution that way first - if they're decent guys, am sure they will want to avoid a Trading Standards investigation etc.

I have nothing to do with them or have no need for their services. But, a decent company, you wouldn't need to look up personal details on companies house for a one to one. A service provider should provide a conflict resolution service as a basic commitment
