Hi all, I've moved back into Brisbane and fly a private hire aircraft from Archerfield. I've been looking for the requirements for lodging a flight plan for a scenic flight over the CBD but can't find too much. I thought there might be something like the Harbour Scenic One / Two as in Sydney. How do you guys normally notate a flight with a few orbits of the CBD on a flight notification? Thanks very much.

Best to give brisbane ATC a call on 07 3866 3868 and find out what times they can accommodate you for an orbit or two. I haven't done one for a few years, but you will have a better chance of getting approval on a weekend or during other non-peak times. There is no published procedure however ATC may advise of orbit direction and apply a clearance limit (ie: no further east than the Story Bridge).

Hope this helps :)

Yeah I have done it once or twice. Used the phone first. They were very good about it.
