He-he, this must be one of my favorites:

As you will be teaching and working for the Bahamas authorities, you will not need PPL licences for this contract.

Anything else I would NOT need??

I like the idea that an EH101 is considered a 'similar airframe'!!

The last 'in service' wessex is reported to be the single airworthy example serving in the Uruguayan Navy. They had a fleet of a dozen or so HC2's serving both Air Force and Navy.Prior to the HC2's they operated some ex Bristow Mk 60's.
Chile operated S58/H-34 of the Sikorsky variety.

Sorry to hijack the thread but we have a client looking for a Westland Wessex so if anybody knows of one lying in the back of a hangar somewhere that needs a home, please PM me.
Thanks
Dunk

PS - Sorry but we won't be needing any pilots if the creator of that ad is reading the thread!!!

DKM, direct your client to the FUA (Uruguayan Air Force)at Montevideo. there are two gate guardians and another six intact Wessex there gently rotting.

The Uruguayan navy's Wessex is long since dead.

How time flies,yes XR505 no longer active,as of 2010.
Of the survivors, in addition to Montivideo example[s] remain at Laguna del sauce NAS near Punta del Este.
Below is a link to a shot of XR505 on the USS Oak Hill in 2009.

Think you will also find a few airworthy ones in New Zealand. They imported some for logging, flew for a while and then CAA grounded them.

Might be worth a followup with the operator there that had them.
