Hi all

Does anyone know what's going on at Qatar Executive?

I applied a couple of months ago and got a standard reply, along with a candidate reference number.

And is there even a chance in hell, that an airline FO without any corporate experience will have a shot at it?

Everything is possible, but very unlikely that you would be hired with no corporate experience by QR Executive. They also prefer that you actually have experience in either the Global or the 605. But, like I said, everything is possible in Qatar. The one thing that I can tell you with all certainty is that you have to be extra patient, even more so than in the QR Airlines side.

I know some FO in Qatar Executive who never flew jets before and they got the job on the GLEX and 605. But the truth is that it is not the normal profile they are looking for.

I spoke to a delightfully patronising, ill informed recruiter about Command GLEX vacancies at QE.

I was told that my current status (more than 500 hours PIC on type) as a Captain on a Global was irrelevant without 1500 hours PIC on type. Irrespective of prior worldwide experience and previous Command time. It's all about experience on type - despite the fact this is the simplest type (and smallest) that I've ever flown.

And all for the opportunity to work in Doha.

The sooner these ******** recruiters are cut out of the loop the better. They haven't got a clue.
