It was turning into an interesting discussion on the broader merits of leadership in the Iraq and Afghan campaigns which I would guess a sizeable proportion of the people on this site have been involved with in one way or another.
Or was that not relevant enough? Maybe it needed a few more references to ejector seats, historic aircraft or the standards of Reservist drill at the Little Snoring on the Wold Remembrance Parade? Or maybe it just lacked the in depth analysis on Petraeus' choice of hat with his Thursday morning uniform.
Does everything thread have to absolutely explicitly reference aircraft in some way shape or form, or can we not also have grown up discussions about military operations and Air Force life in general? It will get pretty dull if we can't.
