Vanuatu/Pacific Charts

Hey everyone,

Trying to source some RAAF Charts, specifically Operational Navigation Charts (ONC) N16 and P16 which are 1 : 1 000 000 depicting Vanuatu in particular. I've tried looking around for others but theres nothing commercially available that does this area that i've been able to find. I've also checked with Airways NZ and they have nothing either despite being the ones who publish the Vanuatu AIP.

Tried sending off the form on the RAAFAIS Website and have received no reply after over a week. Does anyone here have any contacts within the RAAF or elsewhere that has access to these charts or similar? There are relatively basic tourist charts of the area which can be used but would be more comfortable with something closer to a WAC chart!!

Good luck with the RAAF. Last time I tried, the lady I spoke to said that they no longer supply material to civilians.

You may have more luck with someone like Sporty's Pilot Shop in the USA or even one of the Map Centre retail outlets in any Aussie Capital City.

Last time I purchased visual charts for Vanuatu was about 5 years ago, and got it (1 chart covers it all) through a specialist map shop in Sydney. It is an ONC you need, P-16 I think.

Don't suppose you remember the name ey Chimbu? Putting "Specialist Map Shop Sydney" into google hasn't helped! :}

No I don't, but try Mapworld. I'm currently on the road so can't look it up in my credit card bills.

I've used these guys before. Good service, can't remember postage to Oz as was for a bunch of charts for work. I wasn't paying!
