Dear all,

I'm doing this thread because i'm looking for jobs abroad.
I notice that if you'd like to work abroad in all case you have to convert your license...
I would like to know for UAE, china, japan, afghanistan, russia, brasil marocco, malaysia:
-how long does it take to convert jaa or faa to country mentionned above?
-what are the document needed to make this conversion?
-What is the name of the organization which can do this conversion?
-How does it cost to make this conversion ?
-Do you think it is possible to make the conversion by yourself in advance to be reading if a job is available?

If you have any information for other country let us know...

In most countries you can fly with a six month endorsement of you own licence whilst you are getting a licence for the country that you are working in. Your employer will arrange all the details for this. If they cannot they are not worth working for.

-how long does it take to convert jaa or faa to country mentionned above?

Depends on the country. UAE, about 6 weeks while you learn a whole pile of dodgy questions and battle the immigration. Probably not much different in the others. Brazil did allow non-Brazilians in at one time, but that may have stopped.

-what are the document needed to make this conversion?

A licence. Would recommend you also speak the language.

-What is the name of the organization which can do this conversion?

It depends on the country. Check out the flying schools.

-How does it cost to make this conversion ?

See above.
