Why people say IR ratings done in Spain are not well seen by airlines??? (Just a doubt)

As BA are paired with Iberia which is a Spanish airline with many captains holding spanish issued IRs I find such comments about the validity ofEASA approved ratings quite strange

Spain's IRs are typically rubbish because during the training they spend so much time doing unnecessarily long flights in the airways as opposed to doing approaches.

strange, as I found quite the opposite to be the case.
The same 2 routes repeated over and over here in the UK, whereas in Spain I would often start the route, then break off and do approaches at home base.

You will find in this industry, like many others, to filter out the crap that is sometimes said.
Sweeping statements like 'airlines dont like Spanish IRs' are a load of bo**ox. There is good and not so good training in Spain for sure, but so there is in any country.
