Any details about Omeo Airfield?

Hey all,

My brother wants me to delivery him and a couple of mates up to Omeo in the Victorian high country in a couple of weeks time and I'm trying to figure out what exactly is up there to land on.

A Google search reveals that there seems to be a grass strip of about 800m and I think I can make it out on Google Maps to the south east of the town but I can't find any info about permission or who owns it or local tips or things to look out for...

Any advice?

Benambra is just up the road. Check it's useable before going in though.

Thanks for the replies guys! Much appreciated. I did think of Hotham but since they need to get to Omeo itself that would be easier.

There are 2 strips at Benambra, one in town on the dry lake the other is about 2km SW.
