View Full Version : Dubai airport wifi ipad problems

Can anybody kindly direct me to any thread that deals with the above topic please ? I have just passed through Dubai again , and although my ipad2 connects to the airport wifi it will not connect to the Internet . Now in a hotel where it has connected seamlessly . Thanks .

Yes, on the main thread page, at the bottom, you'll see a computer thread for tech questions.

It may not be a tech issue at all. My input is there are a number of open wireless signals at DXB so you have to chose the right one. When you go up the moving stairs from duty free, ask the INFORMATION desk.

From what I recall, once you connect to the hotspot, you then have to open browser to the hotspot default page (adverts) to fully connect to the internet - then you can go to whatever site you want afterward.

FWIW, the signal can be unreliable and often overloaded and worthless :ugh:

I hang out in the Gulf Air lounge, they have a couple computers there if I really need it, otherwise I just let email dump into my blackberry.

'Maxspot' is the free wifi network at DXB
