Assuming EU-ops. You are en route to you destination when your destination alternate airport drops below planning minima but remains above operational minima. From a legal perspective can you still use it as destination alternate or do you need to pick another destination alternate. My opinion is that you can still use it as planning minima apply only in the planning stage. But I need documentation and reference to where I can find it in writing.

Thanks!

Every thing you find on the Navigation approach charts are intended for pilots use. At planning stage there is a correction/increase following a set of rules,if you follow eu-ops: CAT3/CAT2 become CAT1, CAT1 becomes classic, for classic approach add 200ft/1000m, and circling minima remain the same. all these corrections are valid until the A/c is airborne, after that standard minima will be applied. If you're looking for the wording side, PLANNING is the key word.
