Does anyone perhaps know what the kg/lbs force required is,to break the forward entry door gust-lock, of the B737-3/4/500 series aircraft? I have only the wind limitation set on the gust-lock. Need a bit more information. Thanx!

Why would you?
Never force anything, you will damage the door.
No such info as totally irrelevant.

You mean the little yellow unlock latch lever? It's only sprung against thumb pressure, there are no limits in the AMM for it. If your thumb cannot press it down, call us out!

There is no gust damper fitted. When closing a door you are simply pulling the weight of the door.

The gust-lock is fitted to stop the wind closing the door while all the passengers are escaping from the fuselage during an emergency.:)

We might as well include the cleaners, maintenance staff, caterers, toiletiers, red caps, re-fuellers, flight deck and cabin crews while we're at it? ;)
