Thompson Emergency MAN 20 Oct

Couldn't get start clearance this morning at MAN due to "inbound emergency aircraft". I guess ATC were keeping the decks clear for all eventualities. Clearance eventually given and as we taxied out we saw a Thompson B737 coming in followed by the Fire Chief in his Landrover and a pair (brace?) of big Fire Engines.

Obviously it all ended well. Good.

What was the problem?

Called for push and start at MAN this morning early doors and denied by ATC due to "inbound emergency aircraft". They let us go eventually and as we wandered out we saw a Thomson B737 coming in followed by the Fire Chief in his Landrover and a pair of fire trucks.

Happy ending. Good.

Knocked our OTP by 20 minutes or so. Trivial by comparison, I know, but: what was the technical problem with the 737?
