Hello all,

I'm starting my Type Rating early next year, and wondered what the best ATPL subjects to revise would be. I did my theory back in 2004, so a lot of it is rusty, but I don't have the time to go through all 14 again, so what would be the best 4 or 5 subjects to read again?

The manuals for the type?

Basically the practical stuff that can kill you if you get it wrong.

Flight Planning as they ask about SID, STAR & IAP charts etc. Met so you can decode TAFs etc; Systems so you can explain what's gone wrong, Performance then Mass & Balance (trim sheets).

Perf, M&B & planning are practical for sure, but type specific tech etc are the ones I'd aim for, hit the TR manuals.

Air law, procedures and stuff.

Performance - drift down, take off and landings, EFATO etc.
