Anybody know what the 2 aircraft were that buzzed Glenrothes town centre around 1430hrs today? Never seen my colleagues react so quickly to anything in my entire career, it would have been a classic YouTube video... Thanks to the crews for making my Tuesday exciting :-)

If it was 1415 approx, it was 4 GAF Tornado ECRs, apologies for the noise :E

Plenty over Aberdeenshire today as well. To the crew of the Herc (I think, I only heard it but it sounded like one) heading east at low level near Alford at about 1300, thanks for scaring off the roebuck I'd been stalking for the last 20 minutes, and the only one I saw all day!

You are forgiven. Do it again!

Talking of Hercs.

I was in the middle of a very large state in Australia, hunting ducks.
I had seen some ducks land and thought they were going to start
flying around for the evening flight so was just about to leave camp
and walk round the corner to my hide.

Just then, a Herc came over at about 50 feet above the tree tops
- ie it was bloody low.

Great sight but it buggered up any duck hunting !!!

Driving south along the M90 south of Perth (Scotland) where the road is higher than the surrounding ground and two Hercs came flew across right to left.

Thought the lower one was going to hit the traffic!

Also came across this old slide. I missed the crossing point but these gnats must have been very low -

Talking of Hercs.

Remember in visitors car park at Ben Lawers and spotted a Herc coming up the valley, really hugging the ground and the exclamation of a Lady "OMG they are going to crash", course they didn't but remember the chatter in the car park died off as people waited to see what they were doing.

I can't understand any of this, you people keep seeing low flying aircraft and I don't get a look, it's terrible and I want to complain.

Unless one of every type flies over my house in Seahouses tomorrow I am going to complain to my MP and demand a full refund of all my tax.

Why isnt there a bunch of lawyers ringing me up say they can get me compensation for the lack of the sound of freedom over my house?

Another thing, in my day anything above 200ft was considered dangerous why do they keep up there above 500. I haven't seen "trestle here" on the underside of an aircraft for weeks

Stay low fast safe and noisy boys and girls, it's odd how the wind gets in my eyes when you go by

As soon as I saw there were 4 of them, I knew they wouldn`t be ours...

There was a token British presence in the back of Dragon 3 ;)

70 years ago suggesting that in 2012 that this would be happening would have got you arrested as being a spy and a defeatist..............

Suggesting they would be landing and having a beer with members of the RAF and you would be spending lots of time in a jacket that wraps around you........

How times change.

I was thinking the same thing yesterday when I realised I had the names of Argentinian, German and Hungarian pilots in my logbook that I had flown in various aircraft.

Ah jet noise. All I get is a Wokka Wokka at 6.30 am today; my fault for living close to H3 I suppose. Luckily I had just got up for work, but the wife wasn't too impressed!
