I'm sure its just scare tactics for Mr Boeing, I'd be very surprised if this actually happens along with the cargo conversions.

Al Baker is a very shrewd negotiator. Could get interesting. Any info related to how much longer the 787s could be delayed? I thought it was an interior-related issue - no?

I believe it is due to the engines, which have two cases now of cracks. Not due to Boeing. The first aircraft flew at Farnborough months ago.

It is not entirely engines or interior, it is most likely both.
About A330 - we've been hearing of a possible dry leasing of Air Hong Kong's brand new birds strait from the factory. Probability - unknown.
Cheers!

The Delay is due to :-

- Technical problems in the A/C

- Qr forcing Boeing to have its A/C in Farnborough air show

- Qr interior design.

And More ... :oh:

Transfer of title for the first aircraft is scheduled for later this week (5th/6th). The aircraft then goes for post a delivery modification and should be in Doha by early November.

Inshallah.......

The delivery phase for A/C 2 begins this week.

The plan was for QR to have 5 aircraft by the end of the year, it's looking very unlikely at this stage.

The first aircraft is undergoing modification now, barring any technical issues the work should be completed by the end of the month.

The next stop will be Seattle for the official ceremony and then it flies to Doha, should be here during the first week of November.
