Anybody got any ideas on how much time to allow for a transit at SEA? The times have been changed and rather than 3hrs 30min for getting from an incoming Alaska Airlines to the BA flight and checking in, it's now just 2 hours. Allowing for any lateness, and being on separate tickets, is this enough?

When we connected from BA TO AS we allowed 5 days!

Seriously. In both 2010 and 2011 we flew into SEA on BA and in both cases we hit the street in less than an hour and that included immigration and customs. 2 hours is enough provided you don't get an inbound delay.

If there is more than one of you maybe one could collect the incoming bags while the other gets in the BA queue?

If you are on an internal (I'm guessing it is on Alaskan) you shouldn't have too many problems. I arrived there recently and was through immigration etc (and they selected me for a customs bag check) on my way to Boeing in 30 mins. That was an international arrival as well, I did get to immigration fairly quickly as I was in a seat towards the front. :ok:

Thanks for the info. I'm flying from SAN on Alaskan (code share with American) to connect to the BA flight home, so if the bag doesn't make it, it won't be a disaster. What would be disastrous (because they are separate tickets) is a failure to get to SEA in time.
