Does anyone know, when did we start to collect aircrew name badges down in the FI. Do the ones in The Goose include F4 crews and if so do they include crews from Stanley. If so has anyone got a picture of them all. It would be a great record of RAF Air Defenders. I'm sure the F4 Muds have a similiar thing from Deci.

There are some there from the Stanley days, but they certainly weren't collected right from the start. There wasn't really anywhere to put them.

..so maybe I never existed...

But you do now, don't you? I'm sure I've seen someone just like you in a secret pub in London.

The Big River company sent me a note saying that my "pre-publication" order would be slightly delayed, Geehovah. Will that mean free beer next month . . . ?

Hopefully on time. The publisher is hoping to get it out before TDPU! Not sure I can afford beer on my royalties LoL

Hopefully your publisher understands what an important date the TDPU is in the global publishing calendar!

Instead of buying beers, you should offer to do a book signing. I'm sure that will work!:ok:

I've tried to stress the importance...

I have just received this from Amazon:

David Gledhill "The Phantom in Focus: A Navigator's Eye on Britain's Cold War Warrior"
Previous estimated arrival date: December 06 2012 - December 08 2012
New estimated arrival date: December 03 2012 - December 05 2012

So not before first orders are called. Dang.

Looked at it many times now, still think its a painting - a very good one - too many things don't look right, detail is too soft and indistinct, maybe its an artistic rendering of a photo?

The Aux-Air doors appear to be open - correct for that likely speed? There also appears to be no "Heat Haze" in the jet effluxes.
