Noticed an advert in certain aviation publication, selling shares in a B737 syndicate for $100k a pop.

Great little conversation starter at the pub on a Friday night!

Plenty of room for camping under the wing and you' be able to find it when it's parked on the flight line at Avalon, or Ausfly!;)

But didn't it say it is leased for $130,000 a month, and all cost on top of that paid by the guy leasing, with contracts for 3.8Million? And he is trying to break up the machine into 18 shares.

If it was a real contract, he would have no problem tingeing an investor. Chances are it has a major check due soon, the 734 I mean. Try to get some gullible plane lover. :ok:

Sounds like a re-run of AAA Airlines (http://www.pprune.org/dg-p-general-aviation-questions/189801-remember-aaa-airlines-whatever-happened-principles.html) ??

Maybe this is the next step beyond cadetships.....?

Nar, I think cadet ships are more profitable, they might want a say if they are an owner :=

Diddly, my post was firmly tongue-in-cheek (must find an emoticon for that).

Has to be said, if you had a lazy $100k to spend on a flying machine then a B737 would be a long way down the list. Surely.
