Hi
Unconfirmed reports both aircrafts collided on an airway north of Damascus, the aircraft was climbing to cuising altitude on a scheduled flight...the helicopter pilot tried to evade the jet but the helicopter's main rotor touched the jet's rudder...helicopter was lost and the jet succeeded in returning to Damascus for a successful emergency landing

Seems this story is quite true!

Look at the damage to that A320! A few more feet off the tail and it would be quite a different outcome. Well done to the crew!

Can't Believe it kept flying, well done to the crew. This is pretty big news, suprised no one else has picked up on it. http://avherald.com/img/syrian_arab_a320_yk-akf_damascus_120920_1.jpg
