Ques: Could not locate fuel jettison procedure in A-7 operator's handbook. Does anyone know if the A-7 is capable of fuel jettison and, if so, what is the procedure.

Yep – remember checking out a Navy A-7 pilot in the F-4 while flying at Eglin AFB in early 1980s. Had a heck of a time keeping him out of afterburner/reheat. He just loved the acceleration.

Thank you very much for the reply. I was wondering if you could answer an earlier post. It is title A-7 former drivers/mechanics. It has to do with N1 readings after engine loss.

Flight Manuals on CD - Douglas A-4 Skyhawk (http://www.flight-manuals-on-cd.com/A7.html)

Murph, if you want the NATOPS manual, it can be had for purchase at the above site. I never bought one, but maybe some of the old A-7 jocks have one for nostalgic purposes.

NATOPS manuals have been known for years as "the blue sleeping pill" and as we age, sometimes anything that helps induce sheep counting is appreciated.

Iwonder if any of you guys could help a bit; I had a `green book` years ago,Think it was NAVWEPS -Aerodynamics for Naval Aviators. There was a page covering a `Nomogram of turning Performance`,bank angle vs speed vs Rate of turn vs Radius, etc. My book was loaned, but never returned,as usual, and I wondered if anyone could copy that page and send ,by PMs..? Thanks...in hope...
