Maycom scanner

Does anyone have a Maycom AR-108 scanner that isn't working?

The case on mine has become all sticky & I have been unable to reverse the damage. Not sure if it is heat damage or if something was spilt on it. However, it works fine, so I am looking to just replace the case. I have been unable to source any parts on the net, so if someone has one that isn't working that they want to get rid of, please let me know.

I've got one where the volume is really low, but like yours the case has become really sticky. I thought something might have been spilt on it too, now I'm not so sure.

I looked at one of those a few years back, but decided that it would be better to pay AUD $220 delivered from the US for a Vertex VXA 220 handhelf Transceiver, so rather than just listen, I can transmit; much better value. (yeah, yeah, I know it probably doesn't comply legally etc etc, but better than being stranded somewhere with only a scanner in my hand!).
