I may be emigrating to Oz in the near future. I have a JAA-PPL and was thinking about doing my instructor ticket for SEP's here in the UK. If I'm going to finish up in Oz I may as well do it there. I'll be moving to the Brisbane/Gold Coast area, if anyone can tell me what the employment prospects are for FI's in that area it would be much appreciated. I'm not looking for full time (although full time would be fine), 5 or 10 hours or so a week would be all I need. I'm not looking to bide time to an ATPL, it would be a semi retirement type job. Thanks in advance.

Need a CPL to instruct here. Initial instructor rating requires a syllabus of training and at least 50 hours flying (Some must be dual, some can be command as part of Mutual Practice).

But you can instruct in recreational aviation here: Recreational Aviation Australia (http://www.raa.asn.au)
