Does anyone have any info regarding this?
The picture was posted from a third/fourth hand source who was requesting an ID. Not photoshopped is it?

The aircraft was briefly used as a movie prop on an opportunity basis in the early 1990s in Germany.
I seem to recall that a donation to charity was made by the movie company.

May 1990 at Gatow if I recall. I believe the film that it was used in was not released.

I heard that it went straight to video and wasn't released for the cinema.
The aircraft still has the RAF serial XR808

Any idea of the film title? I remember seeing this in the aviation press at the time.

They had to borrow the 10 for the film because the Americans (nor anyone else) didn't have big jet as good looking. She's a beauty.

There is a photo of that in one of the current aviation mags that has a big article on the VC10s 50th anniversary, although the pic and the brief explanation are in an article about Gatow as mentioned above... I will hunt out the article tomorrow.

.....We often get pinged to be extras as its quicker to get us upto speed than some real extras. I've been SAS for Granada TV, A armed guard for a Computer Security film, a WW1 RFC groundcrew and a WW2 German Soldier. Most bizarre of the lot was at RAF Gatow, Berlin as a USAF honour guard Sgt for a Gene Hackman film that used a RAF VC10 with USAF markings on the side and us as the USAF wanted far too much money :) us we got 150 quid each for 2 days and i got to chat to a great actor for about 20 mins......
The film was called "The Package" with Tommy Lee Jones and Pam Grier.
