For info, the well known author Richard Bach has crashed his Sea Ray after hitting power lines while approaching a strip. He is in a stable but critical condition.

Richard's words have been a major inspiration to me. I hope he will recover quickly and fully, and my thoughts are with him and his family.

'A Gift of Wings' inspired me to fly. Not a fan of 'Gull' and some of his other stuff, though.

Best wishes Richard, and here's to a swift and complete recovery.

'A Gift of Wings' and 'Stranger to the Ground' were, IMO, his best. Hope he comes through.

Illusions and A Gift of Wings. Truly inspirational. Hope he recovers quickly.

I have an old Air Progress magazine from the early 70's where Richard Bach writes about buying an old Republic SeaBee and the adventures he had in it. It's one of the funniest and best written little anecdotal things I've ever read.
