Emirates from 01FEB13 is increasing capacity on Dubai – Lusaka – Harare service, with 3-class Boeing 777-300ER operating, replacing 3-class A330-200 aircraft. This is a further capacity boost to Zambia and Zimbabwe, as the airline is increasing this route from 5 weekly to daily from 01OCT12 (previously reported).

Schedule:

EK713 DXB0925 – 1450LUN1620 – 1720HRE 77W D
EK714 HRE1850 – 1950LUN2120 – 0640+1DXB 77W D

On the OZ forum, there is a rumour that EK is going to give away some 777s to QF for a swap for some more LHR slots.


Haha nice try 380, there's about as much chance as that as there is of Jesus mark 2 being born in Australia.

Heard the same. There was also mention of a wet-lease combined with a OZ-basing for EK777 pilots! Apparently the run into the CP's office has already begun, it was even reported that some senior dugong-drivers offered to pay for a conversion ......

Ahhhhh, some rumours just make the next beer taste so good ...... :p
