Rent or Buy in Dubai?

Any advice or experience ? What's your opinion to buying Vs renting in Dubai? :cool:

IF you are employed here, hopefully you will get an allowance for your residential expenses.
That being the case I'd rent, despite what others on here will say, my view is that as a non-local, the rules as they apply to real estate and you can change in the blink of an eye...lift of a finger..crash of a car.
Make your money, get it offshore, invest it in a more regulated market.
Just my opinion.

Never ever buy off the plan...ie unfinished or not yet started property. There are lying thieving a##hole3 around every corner, mainly real estate agents and most of all banks in Dubai, the industry is not regulated and the purchaser is the one holding the can at the end of the day.

Rent and put your extra earnings into 1st world real estate.

I was offered a house, that was completed, and services, (leci), would be installed in a few weeks... I needed a house to live in not to punt....Three years later the leci was installed, (still on a Generator)....
