Hi All,

I have ordered some Jeppsen charts from Proviation. These are LE-1, LE-5 and ED-3. Proviation have failed to get them to me on time and every time i call they simply tell me to wait for a reply. I am leaving for Europe on Saturday in the Slingsby. Would anyone happen to know where else i could get them quickly? I have tried Transair, Jeppssen ect.. but they said that they wont be able to get them here by Friday.

Thanks

You could try Skyfox in Berlin and see if they can courier them to you. They usually are very good in sorting things out. Surprised that Jeppesen themselves cannot do it.

You could also try the Pilotshop at Lelystad. Peter Mundy should be able to get them to you pronto.

Have you tried phoning the individual Transair shops?, they may have them on the shelf.

Give the Jepp European number a call and talk direct to them, I always deal direct with Jepps and have had no problems.

Just check the website for details

+1 for Ghengis' idea. Has happened to me that the mail order dep didn't have an item, but the shop in London did.

Cheer guys,

The problem is sorted now. Although it has left me with almost no time to plan properly!

And may we know HOW it was sorted out?

The office did not communicate with the wharehouse properly and it turns out that Jepp put the charts on hold (Proviation where not allowed to distribute them). No one bothered to tell me this at the time of ordering. Now hopefully i can get them by thursday to give me time to have a look before i leave on Saturday morning!

What are you using for France? Given your choice of maps I assume you are on your way to southern Spain.

Well im going as far as Madrid, then i'm heading East. To give you an idea of my plans, the maps i have aquired are as follows:

LF-2
LF-3
LF-4
LF-5
LF-6
LE-1
LE-2
LE-5
LI-1
ED-4
ED-3

TBH, i have a rough idea of where i am going but i am only planning my routes a day or so in advance when i am on the trip due to wetaher ect.. I have no where in particular i want to go and its only for hour building. Seems like a fun way to do it instead of the same old booring 1 hour trips e.g Rochester, Lydd, Goodwood, Bembridge.

Me and a friend are cost sharing (He is also hour building).

I will be back in a couple of weeks, i will post photos on my return.

Thanks for the help!

Hey guys,

Just to let you know that i completed my trip, the route was as follows:

Headcorn-L2K-Rouen-La Rochelle-San Sebastian-Jaca-Sabadell-Ampuriabrava-Gap-Annecy-Nancy Essey-Speyer(for the museum of course!)-Manheim-Wipperfurth-Calais-Headcorn!

I will post some pictures up in the next few days!

It was a great trip, i actuallly now prefer the jepp charts over the CAA 1.5Mil now. They are much neater and come pre folded!

Thanks for all of the help thanks!
